Estói is located between Faro and São Brás de Alportel, near the road IP1 (Via do Infante de Sagres). The Church is located in the centre of a friendly village, to visit the old palace it takes 5 minutes by foot.
The Palace of the Viscount of Estói was built between the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. Initially used for parties, at the moment the magnificent rococo-style build is being restored and will be transformed into a hostel. The garden is decorated with old statues and receives public visitors.
Situated in Estoi, 3km from “Quinta dos Poetas”, the Ruins Milreu is a complex, built in the third century, consisting in a large manor house, with old agricultural services, a old place shower and a temple.

Typical small town of Barrocal Algarve, through gentle hills, with gardens and orchards. Its streets still retain some houses representing the architecture of the bourgeois century.
However, Moncarapacho existed in 1368 (date of a letter from El-King Ferdinand I, where the village's name was mentioned) and became the place become a village in 1471.
The Museum Parish surprised by the number of interesting pieces of archeology (prehistoric, classical period and occupation Arabic), pieces of ethnography, a valuable collection of religious imagery of century. XVI to XVIII, and a clock built by the famous English watchmaker John Harrison, where are only four copies in the world.
The Chapel of Santo Cristo, annexed to the museum, can be visited during the visit and it was a place of great pilgrimages.
Construction is baroque century XVIII, with great simplicity. The interior is covered by carpet tiles polychrome-type (century XVII). Several paintings depicting scenes of the Nativity and a Heart of Jesus. The altar in gilt has images of the century XVIII.
The hill of “S. Miguel”, the best viewpoint of the country's south and true heraldic symbol is located in central area of the Algarve by 411 meters above sea level.
A long time ago it was a point of reference for navigation. In particular, between crews of us refers to sailors Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans, although the hill was also the boats that demanded the stops most Western Europe.
The hill “Cabeça”, is covered by a wide arc coastline, has numerous caves:
Cave “Senhora”, Cave ”Garrafão”, Cave “Mouros”, Cave “Ladroeira Grande” and “Ladroeira Pequena”.
The Church “Nª Senhora do Rosário” in Olhão
Situated in “Praça da Restauração” his construction in the beginning of final century XVII, was the first stone construction made in Olhão, with the help of the fishermen’s. Inside there are the images of “Nossa Senhora do Rosario” and Jesus image crucified as well one apostle.
Municipal Markets
In 1915 the Municipal market was build in a rectangular construction with one floor. These architectural elements in a parallelepiped form giving them something monumental.
Building of Maritime Company – City Museum
The Museum is installed in the building of the Maritime Agreement, since 16 June 2001. The fishermen of Olhão create their own fraternity. In 1765 founding the Maritime Commitment that presupposed an administration to construct a chapel in the Church dedicated to “Nossa Senhora da Conceição”.

The famous island of Cabo de Santa Maria, the most point in south of Portugal, is undoubtedly unique. It clear waters show the way to discovery the marine life.
Access to Farol Island is made only by boat. In Olhão or Faro you can find a Port of boats to make the trips during all year.
The travel takes approximately 40 minutes; during the trip you can appreciate and enjoy the beauty of the Ria Formosa as the diverse wildlife that inhabits in this protected area of Ria Formosa.
On this island there are a few bars and restaurants with speciality in grilled fish.
In the fishing village of Culatra, where they live permanently around 600 families, there are few restaurants specializing in the famous sea rice, which mixes the many varieties of fish that abound there.

Museu Municipal de Faro
The area is the most significant archaeological, incorporating objects from pre-history and Roman and medieval times. Among the most relevant articles are the examples of Roman mosaic of centuries II / III. A collection of high quality is the painting of the nineteenth centuries XVI composed mainly by religious specimens formerly belonging to temples Algarve.
Galeria de Arte Arco
The gallery it is one of the elements of the Municipal Museum of Faro, one of them the Toy museum with an extensive collection of old toys, recently acquired by the municipality.
Muralhas ( the Walls) the old urban centre, his name “Vila-Adentro” of century IV. Constructed with initiative of Ben Bekr, a Muslim prince with a small local kingdom which became independent of the Emirate of Cordoba.
The church, “Igreja da Sé”
Located in Vila-Adentro, in the Cathedral Square. The Church of Santa Maria was built after the Christian recon quest in 1251, by the Archbishop of Braga, D. Joao Viegas, who sent it to the Dominicans Paio Frei and Frei Pedro. It was subsequently delivered to the Military Order of St. James, which promoted several years of work, and the two Gothic chapels and the first floor of the tower facade to the main border remains the fifteenth century.

Driving at A22 take exit to Faro/ S.Brás, 500 meters ahead, turn left to Estoi Until you reach the church, than you turn right to Olhão. 200 meters a head turning left, direction to Moncarapacho, than you can follow the sign”Quinta dos Poetas”
Driving to EN 125 to Faro in Olhão you take direction to Pechão, when you at Pechão you can see all the signal saying “Quinta dos Poetas”
